VOLTA

VOLTA – innoVation in geOspatiaL and 3D daTA – is an EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie RISE (Research and Innovation Staff Exchange) project related to Geodata, Geomatics and Geoinformatics. The project features:

• secondments, training activities and networking to facilitate knowledge exchange and career progresses in the geospatial field

• innovative solutions to derive metric information from images, merge and segment heterogeneous data and process large datasets via web services.

The project will share and exploit the complementary expertise of the partners to produce and transfer new skills and innovative solutions for mapping agencies and geospatial companies.

The project received funds from the EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions (REA GA no. 734687) and the total budget of the project is 1.021.500,00 Euro. The project, coordinated by FBK Trento, has 13 partners, started in June 2017, was suspended for 16 months due to pandemic and will finish on November 30th, 2022.
